Paint Finished

Working around windy hours, Antonio completed Serenity's paint job. It took a few days longer, but the result is spectacular.

The entire front end up to the bottom of the windshield at rock chips

The rock chips were deep.

Also some dings in the rear

Isn't that gorgeous?

A great paint job for $450

Time to celebrate at Manny's Beach Club

The band was very very loud

We got a table far away from the band

The avocado, cheese, egg and bacon dish sounded interesting.

They bake the egg in the avocado.
Is was a disappointment.

Schuk Toak Museum

We visited the Pinacate Biosphere Reserve, a World Heritage Site in the northwesten corner of Mexico. It covers a thousand sq mi of the austere Sonoran Desert with a surprising abundance of plant and animals. Over 540 species of plants, 40 species of mammals, 200 of birds and 40 of reptiles and freshwater fishes that inhabit a few permanent water sources.

Entering the Schuk Toak Museum

Walking the guided paths through the lava fields that surround the museum.

Paint Begins

Antonio has started on Serenity's face lift. Her whole front end is peppered with rock chips. I can not fathom how she got sooooo many chips. Antonio will make her look like new.

We were out for some great pizza the other day at Pane e Vino Ristorante.

A couple of fine ladies

This morning the gang went tequila tasting.
I was the designated driver.

Valentine Day Pot Luck

Edgar, our terrific campground manager, set a big screen TV for the super bowl. I am not a big sports fan, but I do enjoy a good game, and this was a great one, a nail biter to the end.

I love pot lucks. Everyone brings such interesting and delicious dishes.

We were not disappointed by all the wonderful food

Local beach bums

Serenity had a spa day. Doesn't she look great.
She gets her nose painted next week.

Rotary Fund Riser

The Xscapers are here for a convergence - their term for a get together. They are young tech workers who work from their rigs while traveling the country. They work all week and party on the weekends.

Xscapers play musical trivia

Xscapers social hour with pot luck Hors d'oeuvres

We visited the local Rotary Club's fund raiser at Shrimp Plaza

Many of the local restaurants served small delicious samplers for two or three dollars.

This car is a long long way from home.

We brought back some ceviche and a pizza for diner. Adriann also cooked some wonderful cauliflower with olive oil and garlic

Life is good.
