Ocozocuatla

It is a very long 293 miles from Playa Azul to Ocozocuatla. That would make for a very long day on Mexico's narrow twisty hi ways. So we broke the trip into two days and stopped a lovely beach side restaurant for the night,  Restaurante Buena Vista. The food was delicious, I had a hearty shrimp soup and several others raved about the shrimp brochettes.

Kevin, Bob, Denise, and Ruth enjoying the great view and catching up on their mail.

Parking with a gorgeous view. This will be our last night on the coast. From here we head into the cooler interior. Everyone is ready for cooler weather.

We are traveling through the narrowest portion of Mexico. The winds between the Pacific and Caribbean are so persistent and strong that hundreds of windmills dot the landscape. We hit the road at the early hour of 7am. As the winds become stronger during the day, they make driving an RV more difficult.

In Ocozocuatla we are tucked in at the Hogar Infantil Orphange. Read Kevin's post about the orphanage. Kevin is raising money from his blog readers for the orphanage. The director is compiling a list and we will go shopping when we get back from San Cristobal.
