I got part way into the Steens Mountains, but the upper part of the loop
road was still closed due to snow. What I did see was beautiful.
I found a nice little lake to camp by. (map) A big storm came through Friday night. A
lot of lighting and thunder and periods of intense rain. It was really quite a
show.
