Tea

American Classic Tea has been growing tea here since 1987. (32.61805, -80.18511)

It is spring and the tea plants are turning green. Harvesting will begin later in april when new top growth reaches 3 to 5 inches in height.

This one of kind harvester will give the tea plants a hair cut harvesting the soft new leaves that will make a flavorful cup of tea. The new growth is repeatedly cut every 15 to 20 from April to October. Tea plants are productive for hundreds of years.

It will be 5 years before these seedling will be productive plants

Headed for Folly Beach

Even though it is spring break, the windy cool weather drove people from the beach.  (32.6439, -79.96253)

Old wood jetty build in a useless attempt to stop beach erosion. "Resistance is  futile"
