We are again experiencing the warm hospitality of the Elks. (34.7449, -76.79782) They have a large grassy area overlooking a large pond. Unlike the google earth map, it is spring and every thing is green and lush.

We visited the quaint fishing village of Beauford. (bowford) It is the third oldest town in NC

Found a great wooden boat shop. 

There is a wooden boat show the first weekend in May. It would be great to see, but we will be on the Outer Banks by then.
