New Orleans

It was an overcast, threating rain day. We explored the River Walk ending up at the French Market. The River Walk is a partly enclosed shopping area that is above the commercial docks below. Then down by the French Quarter the it becomes an open air walk.

Live music is everywhere

Ah, the French Market, lunch and shopping

I had the Crawfish Etouffee. It was excellent.

On to the French Quarter.

Sights on Royal Street

Cafe Beignet was featured on The Best Thing I Ever Ate. Alton Brown thought the Beignets where the best.

Very tasty.

One block north from quite Royal Street is the famous Bourbon Street. What a difference a block makes.

A quite neighborhood street in the French Quarter.
