Turtle Rock Hike

We went out to the Vedauwoo open space to hike the Turtle Rock trail. The higher altitude made for cool hiking on the moderate 3 mile loop trail. We were hiking around and through outcrops of 1.4 billion year old Sherman Granite. These are some of the oldest rocks in Wyoming that were uplifted and exposed starting 70 million years ago.
