Parker

 It's been a while since I posted. I will catch up starting with Parker AZ. 

Drag boats from all over the west coast strut their stuff on the Colorado River in February. Just below Parker Dam a quarter mile course is marked by buoys on the river. There are several classes of boats. The big boys can reach speeds up to 200 mph.

Boats are towed out and  line up on a rope stretched 

between two floats. 

This boat is so fast and powerful it has 

a parachute on the stern 

I did not see this one run, but it sure is pretty

Motorcycle Rally

 A hundred or so deafening motorcycles descended on Puerto Penasco for the weekend. We were assaulted by thundering cycles and the typical Mexican 140 decibel bands playing at every venue in town. 

The city blocked off a street where the cyclists could demonstrate their skills.

Revolution Day

 We went downtown to watch a small portion of the 4 hour parade through town. Every club, group, school, interest group participated in the celebration, activity demonstrating their skills while they walked down the boulevard 

On the Road Again

 I spent 2 months visiting my son and his family. I had a wonderful time, but it time to head out.
