The Pt. Defiance Park Rose Garden covers approximately 2 acres and features a designed garden planted with over 2200 roses of 250 varieties, primarily of modern types – however some of the oldest varieties were established in 1895. I thought the non rose flowers were more interesting.

Mt. Rainer Railroad
You board the train in Elbe, WA for an hour and fifteen minute out and back ride through the beautiful country side. They offer several types of excursions. We took the scenic train pulled by the 100 year-old steam engine, Polson 70. It features an open air car, two historic Pullman passenger coaches

4th of July
I joined Cindy and her sister Nancy for the Nine Mile Community pot luck. Cindy owns the Nine Mile Campground in Huson, MT where I have been staying.
The old two room school is now the
Nine Mile Community Center.

It's the 4th, got to have a trade.
