Model T Myth - "Any customer can have a car painted any color
that he wants so long as it is black".
In fact, from 1908 to 1914, the Ford Model T was not available in black. Customers could choose between grey, green, blue and red. It wasn't until about 1914 that the "any color so long as it is black" policy was implemented. At the time, black was believed to be the only color paint that could dry fast enough to keep up with the moving assembly line.

  1. That's a lot of old iron along with the Hood Ornaments that were beautiful but dangerous.
