Ed Teach Died Here

Ocracoke is a small community of 948 hardy souls. But who was Ed Teach you ask. He was Blackbeard who died here with sword in hand on November 22, 1718.

We had a terrific lunch, excellent calamari and a clam chowder made with shiitake mushrooms and shallots. (35.113996, -75.982541)



We visited several great galleries featuring local artists. I got this cutting board that I am going to use as wall decor.
